    BUILDING A FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS
    Since our inception in 1977, Mincey Marble has been committed to the advancement of our industry by incorporating the latest technological advancements, the creation of exceptional designs, unsurpassed product innovation and excellent customer service. 

    1977

    August 17, Kenneth Mincey, with the support of his wife JoAnn and sons Kevin and Roger, opens a new manufacturing facility in Gainesville, GA, called Mincey Marble Manufacturing. 

    Mincey begins serving the high-end residential markets in Atlanta and the surrounding area. The original building is 3800 sq. ft. block building on 2 acres, located at 4321 Browns Bridge Road.

    1983

    Mincey completes our first expansion, adding 28,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and completes a renovation of its corporate office.

    1985

    Whirlpool tubs were a large part of our early business. Our boom truck made the delivery and installation much easier. We also begin producing vanity tops for a variety of hotels in the hospitalty market.

    1987

    Mincey Marble celebrates 10 year anniversary

    1988

    The installation of a new innovative conveyor system cuts production and lead time in half. Mincey expands into North and South Carolina, distributing products through a network of Kitchen and Bath dealers.

    1990

    Mincey makes the decision to begin moving away from the individual residential market.

    1994

    Mincey Marble becomes a specified supplier for its first national hotel brand.

    Property is purchased a mile from the main plant and a second manufacturing facility is completed exclusively for the production of panel surrounds .

    1997

    Mincey Marble celebrates 20th anniversary 

    Mincey completes its move from the high-end residential markets focusing all its efforts on the commercial hospitality industry. It isn't long before Mincey becomes known as the leader in the Commercial Cast Marble business.

    1998

    Mincey continues its expanson into the commercial hospitality market becomming specified by two more national brands. Continuous casting machines are added to the production line, replacing the small batch mixing and hand pouring process.

    2001

    Mincey completes a 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing addition just before the 9/11 tragedy hits and the economy weakens. 

    2002

    Mincey designs and produces its Simulated Tile line of tub and shower surrounds taking the market by storm.

    For the first time, the hotel industry could get the look and feel of tile with little to no maintenance.

    2007

    Mincey celebrates its 30 year anniversary with the purchase of our first CNC machine for mold design.

    2009

    Mincey completes construction on a major office expansion in the middle of the Great Recession of 2008-2009. 

    2012

    After 35 years, Kenneth Mincey announces his retirement and Donna Mincey steps in to fill the role of President and CEO.

    Mincey designs and manufactures the first Trench Drain shower pan line. This changes the look of shower pans for most of the Hospitality Market in North America.

    2013

    Mincey completes construction on an additional 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse.

    2015

    Mincey completes construction on new manufacturing addition. With this addition, our production area will contain over 200,000 sq. ft. of space.

    2016

    We lose our beloved co-founder JoAnn Mincey on April 18th

    2017

    Mincey celebrates 40th Anniversary and annouces plans to relocate all existing production and corporate office facilities to a new 80 acre site at the Gainesville Business Park, in Gainesville, Georgia.

    2018

    In July, Mincey begins production in its new 350,000 sq.ft. facility.

    2019

    Mincey relocates its Corporate Offices to its new 30,000 sq. ft. facility. There are now a combined 380,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and corporate facilities at the new site.

    2020

    The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) global pandemic leads to a worldwide social and economic disruption, including the largest global recession since the Great Depression.
